This policy is last edited and effective May 24th, 2018.
Here are some basic rules and guidelines for all participants. Keep in mind that failing to comply with these simple rules and regulations might lead to player and/or team punishments which can vary from written warning to ban and disqualification (based on severity of each misconduct separately).
VALIANCE staff reserves the right to take measures against behaviour not mentioned specifically in our rules. That will happen only if it leads to a more positive experience for the majority of teams, players and fans and won’t interfere with fair-play.
Every player need to take 3 ss (1 in a spawn, 1 in game, 1 with open apps). Team captain has no more than 30 min to upload all players ss (on discord).
Each team roster must consist of no less than 5, and no more than 7 players which will play throughout the tournament. Once confirmed by VALIANCE the roster is permanent but can be edited between different stages of the competition. Same goes for players nickname changes. Keep in mind that each nickname change will count as roster change regardless of how small the actual change is.
Teams are allowed to edit their roster but only under these conditions:
It is important to note that only 1 organization per tournament is allowed.
In order to stay true to our schedule for every individual region we will sometimes have to stream games from more than 1 region per day. Please follow these guidelines so we can provide best possible experience to our stream viewers.
Team Captains must check-in no later than 45 minutes before the first match in their respective region starts.
By failing to do a proper check-in, Team Captains risk their team being disqualified from VALIANCE tournament. However, each Team Captain can in advance inform us of him running late and appoint one of his team members to check-in instead.
Each Team Captain is responsible for his team members to show up on time.
Each team has to have 5 active players on the server at least 5 minutes before scheduled match start. By failing to do so the team risking being issued a No-Show which results as a default win for their opponents.
If both teams have 3 or less active players on servers 5 minutes before scheduled match start, VALIANCE staff can decide to give default loss to both teams without ever playing this match.
Each player must remain on server at least 30 seconds after final round has been played so proper final result screenshot can be taken by both match moderators and Team Captains.
In case any player/team leave their match without viable explanation the team will be issued a default loss. Additional penalties may apply.
All teams must feature only players submitted via roster previously accepted by VALIANCE staff member. Any other players on the team will result in immediate disqualification and possible ban from future VALIANCE events for both players and the team.
Our goal is to organize great pro tournaments and that means a substantial sum of money will be there as the prize. That may tempt some people to cheat their way to the top or use other unfair means to claim the prize. Our advice? Don’t do it.
Valiance values its community too much to let things like that happen. We share values like transparency, honesty and hard work, thus we will have no tolerance for anything shady from anyone. All matches will be recorded and supervised by our team. If we suspect a player doing anything fraudulent to improve his or hers position or worsen the position of other community and event members, he or she will be disqualified from the tournament. That player will also be banned from any events organized by Valiance forever
Please note that account sharing is strictly forbidden on our tournament. If anyone is suspected for account sharing, we will check IP's with game developers to confirm user location and undertake other measures to investigate such behavior.
Be fair, have fun and win using your game skills. It’s much more impressive and it won’t get you and your team banned.
Don’t forget we are all part of the same community and we want every member to enjoy the event. Insults in any form are not acceptable on Valiance channels. Foulmouthed individuals will be banned from the event. However witty remarks and creative puns are encouraged. Extremist statements, threats of violence, sexual harassment, stalking, pornographic linking or spamming are all forbidden and will result in a ban. Once you’re banned because of inappropriate or disrespectful behavior towards any community member you risk being banned from any Valiance channels and events forever.
Now that you know all the rules we can move on to the more enjoyable things like counting the days before the tournament starts! And of course planning how to win, practicing, creating cheerleading choreographies to support your team and more.
If you have any additional question regarding the tournament or the rules listed above, feel free to contact us any time on our Discord channel https://discord.gg/mQvTf. We’ll gladly answer your questions.
