Our Valiance Summer Season Champions, Team Elevate, are back on track, as they revived their team yet again!
This time, we decided to have a chat with one of their key members „Timez“.
In the interview we talk about their fresh roster, the reason they team is back and their plans for the Critical Ops Winter Season among other things.
Enjoy the interview!
It's great to see such a team get back together. What is the main reason behind your revival?
First of all, hello to everyone!
The main reason why we have decided to revive Elevate is because players didn't find themselves in the new teams.
„Hugz“ didn't enjoy playing with „LocoSquad“, and same can be said for „Strong“ and “Osynt“ that ended up in team Nova eSports.
„Empire“ was the one that got us all into talking again, and after some time, we decided to give it another shot!
Can you walk us through the roles of the players in the new iteration of the team?
In team Elevate, we don't have any specific roles, meaning that from time to time, people can do all the roles, which makes all of us in the team kind of equal.
What do you think of the changes we've done to the upcoming Critical Ops Winter Season and do you prefer playing only against teams from the same region?
Looking at the changes, I don't think there are that many of them.
We have always enjoyed playing in the Valiance tournaments since they are very good, and on top of that, the organization is top notch, making it easier for us to participate.
The only thing that matters to us is playing versus legit players, and try to improve our play, while having fun at the same time.
Personally, I don't like the fact that every region is separated now since this was the only tournament that would show the world which team is currently the best.
How do you rate the European competition for the upcoming season?
The European competitive scene is really balanced at the moment, and the players are getting better and better as time progresses.
In my opinion, we're at the same level with North America at the moment.
Who do you see as the biggest threat?
The biggest threat in form of a player that I see is „Elite“ as he has improved a lot during 2017.
Angel is basically the only new guy on the team. Does he bring anything new to the team that you were lacking before?
Angel is a great addition to the team, as he's a very smart and consistent guy.
On top of that, he's very confident and he always has our back. In my eyes, this is exactly what our team lacked in the previous season, and I'm sure that now we will have even better results.
What is your main goal to achieve with this team?
The main goal for the team would be to have fun at the moment, as we need to first achieve the chemistry between our players. In order to do that, we need to act friendly and perform consistently.
Once we get to that point, we can become the best team in the world.
Do you regret disbanding in the previous season, since you had a chance to become the first team to win two championships in a row?
We had a lot of issues after the Valiance Summer cup. Somehow we got into the conflicts, and along the way, we lost the friendship and chemistry that made us so strong.
Looking back at it, I'd say we all regret that it had to be that way.
Any words for the fans?
Our fans mean a lot to us, and we'd like to thank everyone that supports us.
We love you!
With the recently implemented regional changes, team Elevate seems to be one of the main favorites to win in the Europe region in the upcoming season.
It will be a pleasure to see them play again, and we wish them the best of luck!
