SKY2FLY qualified to the European Group Stage of the C-Ops Winter Season through the revamped ladder system.
They also had some great results in various online cups, showing that their team has a lot of potential.
We decided it’s time to get to know them a bit better and had a chat with their team leader „nezh1k“.
In the interview, we focus on their first time appearance in the Premier League and their chances of making it into the playoffs among other things.
Can you please tell us who are the current players on your team and what are their roles?
Our lineup is:
- nezh1k (IGL, Team captain)
- DeathFromSk1zz (sniper)
- x Flopz
How long has this roster been playing together?
The team has been playing together for around 6 months at the moment.
It is your first time in the Premier League. How important is this achievement for your team, and how does it feel to be among the top teams?
This tournament is very important for us, but we are very unlucky as I can see.
I think we had a chance to win against Nova eSports and if we did, it would be a great success.
Our game vs StDx was horrible, we can do better.
Our captain is ill and it’s very hard to play without him.
Your team has achieved some great results in the recent online cups. What do you think is the main reason for this?
We started to train a lot, and that is the biggest reason why we have shown better results.
You had a very close game against Nova eSports in the first week of Critical Ops Winter Season. It all came down to you losing a lot of clutches. Is this an area where your team needs to improve?
It was an even score after the first half (6-6), but „Flopz“ had problems with his connections.
He should have planted the bomb and if he managed to do that, we wouldn't have to make a two-round eco.
I think this is why we ended up losing that game.
Looking at the competition in the European Group Stage, it’s hard to make any predictions. Which place would satisfy you? Do you think a top three finish is a realistic goal for your team?
We wanted to take 3rd or 4th place, but after our defeat vs SetToDestroyX, nobody knows If we can do that.
I do think however we need to win against Kings Uprising.
Is there something that makes your team unique?
We are an unpredictable team, I think this is our unique character trait.
How would you rate European region compared to the others?
In my opinion, European region is the strongest Critical Ops region at the moment.
Would you like to say something to your followers?
I don't really know what to say, but I do want to apologize to our fans. Next time we will show a better performance.
Yep, sometimes the Group Stage can be tough for newcomers.
But we have no doubt SKY2FLY will adjust and gain some valuable experience.
We're looking forward to seeing them play again and wish them the best of luck for the rest of the season.
