The South American region is finally back and they are competing in the Critical Ops Autumn Invitational.
Right now, the Open Qualifiers are being played and on 29th (Monday), we will know which 4 teams will join ‘AMERICAS’ part of the playoff bracket.
To get a better feeling of what’s going on there, we decided to make an interview with one of the long-lasting teams in the region – Insanity Killers.
“BrGomes” is the leader of the team and he answers our questions!
Can you tell us the roster of Insanity Killers now and what changes did you go through since the last Valiance event?
We basically switched up our entire lineup since the last time Insanity Killers participated in Valiance event.
The most recent tournament we played was the LAN in São Paulo.
Only "Reziq" and I stayed from the original lineup while adding"Nortons", "Zeus" and "Belchior".
"Garryx" and "Cosmos " are also in the roster, they just couldn’t go to the LAN event.
What does it mean for you and the scene to be able to participate in the Critical Ops Autumn Invitational?
It’s of great significance to us.
We don’t have that many tournaments here in South American and I’d say that the tournaments which are hosted by Valiance are the only ones which feature a cash prize for our teams.
How does the South American scene look like at the moment?
What are the top teams in your opinion and who has the chances to make it through the open qualifiers into the playoffs?
The teams whom I actually think are good at the moment would be "New Era Team" and "DSN".
We ended up being paired up against "DSN".
This match should be very interesting.
What are your expectations from this season and what result would satisfy you at the end?
We are training a lot and we want that first place!
The finals of the season will be played against the North American team.
Do you think the North American teams are too good right now for the South American scene?
During the last season, we were matched up with “Gankstars”.
I do feel I didn't give my best in that match, so this is another chance for us.
Is there something you want to say to your fans or scene in general?
I’m very thankful to those who cheer us on from the very beginning, it’s been a long time coming and I hope to have you guys with us along the way! #iKonTop
Even though we haven’t seen South American teams in a while, we are confident that they are a strong region and that they are capable of competing.
Insanity Killers lineup is still looking good and we’re expecting them to make it into the next phase.
We also wish them the best of luck!
