Chantality is ready to take on the European scene

March 4, 2019 14:29

The competitive aspect of the Critical Ops European scene is growing each day.

Chantality might not be the first name that comes to people’s mind, however, they’re more than a capable team.

To find out more about them, we decided to make a detailed interview with their leader FLA5HER.

Tell us a short history about your team and how long have you been playing together?

Chantality has originally formed about 5 years ago, so before Critical Ops was launched.

In that time, I was a huge fan of their CS:GO team.

Unfortunately, the team had come to an end very quickly and their name has vanished ever since.

I started playing Critical Ops about a year ago, and I found the competitive scene very interesting.

After gaining a lot of knowledge about the game and the competitive scene, I decided to create a team which would be dedicated to the original Chantality team.

However, I ended up getting in contact with the original Chantality owner, and that's how our Critical Ops team formed.

Introduce each player and their role in the team.

Most members have been playing for about 3 months now, since the team has been created start December 2018.

During those 3 months, they have gained a lot of experience which makes them unique.

Now, 3 months might seem pretty short, compared to how long most top tier teams & players have been playing together, but somehow, we managed to form a huge threat to the competitive scene.

This is our current lineup:

- SW (in-game leader)

- SirGlacial (lurker)

- MeLoN (support)

- Lyaxwoo (awp/entry)

- xDxsh (awp/ entry)

- Dutchboy_Thijs (support)

- Sir Omega (lurker/awp)

- Drak (entry/igl)

- Mateaa (support)

- Iewy  (entry)

Have you played any of the recent ESL cups so far and what results did you achieve in them?

We haven't participated in any of the recent ESL Cups so far, however, we're planning on playing them soon.

We just want to be well prepared before we start challenging other teams!

Do you plan to take part in the upcoming Team Liquid cup and what are your goals there if you do?

We are planning on taking part in the upcoming Team Liquid Cup.

Our goals are first to make it through the qualifiers, and if we do, we'll fight our way to the top and try to place for the Semi-Finals.

Of course, reaching the finals would be a dream, but we still have a long way to go.

Although, that doesn't mean that we're not going to try to reach the finals & go for that W!

How would you say your team fares against the finest team in the region?

Our team is doing well in scrims & smaller tournaments at the moment.

We have already beaten top tier teams, such as xQuadrant & Team Sanction.

These kinds of games opened our eyes and made us realize how strong our team actually is.

We're convinced that we'll be able to beat teams such as Elevate & S2 Gaming soon!

What are your thoughts on the latest update and the current direction of Critical Ops?

I think Critical Ops is doing great at the moment.

However, I do think there are a couple of things that they seem to forget sometimes, including the competitive scene in general.

I think they're focusing too much on the design of the game.

But besides that, I believe that they're doing a very good job so far.

Anything you want to share with your fans?

I'd like to say thank you to every single one of you who have been supporting us so far!

We have a lot of big things coming up, so we won't let you guys down.

Furthermore, I'd like to say thank you to all our members.

Without them, we wouldn't have been where we are today.

Last but not least, I'd like to thank Valiance for this opportunity.

We're looking forward to competing in your tournaments soon.

A lot of new teams are on the scene, and most likely, several of them are going to make a breakthrough.

We wish team Chantality best of luck in the upcoming events!
