Big Changes await in the Critical Ops Winter Season

January 16, 2018 17:25

It's been a bit less than a month since Gankstars crowned themselves as the Valiance Autumn Season Champions in the epic finals against team Elevate.

It has been the most thrilling season yet, as the up and coming teams showed us, that they are ready to compete and hold their own against C-Ops powerhouses.

Hopefully, all of you practiced a lot during the holidays, as we're about to make 2018 a year to remember.

The biggest change we're introducing is that from now on every region will be separated from the others. This will apply in all stages of the competition.

That means there won't be any latency issues anymore and only skill will decide who wins the match!

To start things off, the sign up for our Premier League - „Critical Ops Winter Season“ is open from today (15.01), and it will last until 25th of January.

The new season is once more going to feature the following regions;

•    Europe

•    North America

•    South America

•    Asia

Once the signup is complete, teams will battle it out from 26th of January until 12th of February to determine who is going to advance to the Group Stage Phase.

This part of the tournament has been the most ruthless one and sometimes the favorites would get eliminated due to the best-of-one format.

We've heard your feedback, and we want to make the Valiance tournaments as competitive as possible.

Therefore we decided that those who don’t make it through the Open Qualifiers will get another chance - thanks to the new and improved ladder system.

Hyped yet?

You should be, as we're also going to expand each regional group by two slots, meaning that six teams will participate in the highest echelon of  the competition.

The prize pool has also increased to a grand total of 6000$, which is going to be equally divided between the participating regions.

Make sure to check the news on the daily basis as we're going to release more information about these exciting changes in the upcoming days. Stay tuned!
