BEG4Mercy - confident newcomers are ready to take on the favorites

July 27, 2018 15:05

BEG4Mercy“ is one of the up-and-coming teams in the Asia region.

They didn't have an easy road to the Valiance Summer Season Group Stage, but they’ve managed to overcome all obstacles thrown their way and definitely deserve to be here among the elite teams.

We decided to talk with their in-game leader „Kira“ in order to find out more about them.

In the interview we discuss the current Asian scene, their plan to approach the upcoming matches and more.

You guys are one of the newer faces on the scene.

Can you please introduce yourself, your lineup and the roles of the players.

Hello there, our current lineup is as following;

We have been together for around 2 months now with a couple of roster changes along the way and we were practicing our mind off for the group stages and hopefully, it will pay off.

You have successfully qualified for the Valiance Summer Season Group Stage.

You didn't encounter much of a resistance in the qualifiers until the final match.

There you defeated  „Hawkeyes“ in a thriller of a game. The final score was 13:12.

Can you tell us more about that match and did you expect it to be that close?

Yes the game against "Hawkeyes" was very intense much closer than I expected.

We won because we had certain players show up when needed in this case "Kenobi" and "Obliviscor".

The move won us the round was an unexpected push from "Kenobi" grabbing two quick frags.

What does it mean for you and your team to win the qualifiers and become a part of the top level competition?

To pass the qualifiers means we proven ourselves that we are one of the top team in Asia and we have a chance to be number one.

In the Group Stage, you will play against „LEFP“, „Infamous“, „CSPG Gaming“, „Kings Demise“ and a team that also passed throug the qualifiers –„Xion“.

How would you rate each team and do you think you have a chance to make it to the playoffs?

I would rate each team the same, but teams to look out for would definitely be "CsPG" and "Learn from past".

If all of our players show up when needed, we definitely have a good chance to advance into the playoffs.

Are you practising against any of the teams from the Group Stage or are you avoiding them and hiding your tactics for now?

Our practice and tactics don't make us avoid playing any clans because we can always change it along the way and that's what we plan to do.

In the last season, we've seen „CSPG Gaming“ winning the tournament, while in the Winter Season, it was „LEFP“ that came out on top.

Is there a clear number one team in Asia?

"CsPG" and "LeFP" are without a doubt best clans in Asia and they have proved that in previous seasons.

Both teams are top individually and their teamwork is impeccable.

Especially "CsPG" after merging with No Mercy acquiring "Punn" and "Matt".

What result would you be satisfied with when the Summer Season is over?

Like any other team, we will aim for the top spot and if we don't make it this season, we will come back next season stronger.

Is there something you'd like to share with the Asian community and your fans?

I would like to thank Valiance for the interview and the fans that support us.

It's not going to be easy for „BEG4Mercy“.

Their skills will be put to the test against the best Asian teams for the very first time.

We'd like to wish them the best of luck and we hope that they can beat some of the contenders they’re going to face.
